About the Position

We are seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager (m/f/x) for our European solar market, driving growth and market penetration. Our client is an internationally active technology company in the solar industry, developing and manufacturing innovative technical solutions for large-scale photovoltaic projects. The company is experiencing strong growth and is continuously expanding its market presence across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Further develop and consistently implement the commercial and sales strategy for the European market.
  • Identify new business opportunities and actively acquire new customers with a strong hands-on mentality.
  • Expand and strengthen long-term relationships with EPC companies, project developers, and other key stakeholders along the PV value chain.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations at C-level with international industrial clients.
  • Take full ownership of project execution across the entire cycle – from initial market approach and contract closing through to on-time delivery monitoring and payment collection.
  • Drive commercial management by continuously optimizing the regional sales cost structure to sustainably improve competitiveness in the European market.

Requirements

  • Degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, energy management, business administration, or international trade.
  • Several years of proven leadership experience in strategic sales, business development, or general management within the photovoltaic industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the European photovoltaic market and its technical requirements.
  • Established network and proven track record working with EPC companies, project developers, module manufacturers, or system providers.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset (“player-coach”), high level of initiative, and confidence in international negotiations.
  • Business-fluent Mandarin is mandatory, along with fluent English or German.
  • Experience working with Chinese companies, organizational structures, and decision-making processes, ideally within a Chinese headquarters environment.
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
