About the Position

General Superintendent

Wytheville, Virginia

$170,000 - $200,000 per year

Responsibilities

Based in Wytheville, VA, you will:

  • Lead all on-site construction operations for large-scale data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning
  • Manage subcontractors, superintendents, field engineers, and skilled trades to ensure productivity and accountability
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire suppression, and security system installations in mission-critical environments
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain project schedules, budgets, and scope alignment
  • Develop and manage detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Coordinate inspections, systems integration, and quality assurance processes
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and executive-level progress updates
  • Proactively resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain project momentum

Requirements

  • Large-scale data center construction experience required
  • Minimum 10 years of construction management experience, including at least 5 years as a General Superintendent on hyper-scale or mission-critical data center projects
  • Experience managing projects valued at $500 million or more
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, fire suppression, and security infrastructure in mission-critical environments
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Experience using construction management platforms such as Procore, ACC Build, PlanGrid, or similar tools
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required
  • LEED AP or PMP certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
