Glass Manufacturing Shift Supervisor (Hot End)

We are seeking a dedicated Glass Manufacturing Shift Supervisor (Hot End) to join our team in Toano, VA. This role involves overseeing plant operations, ensuring quality, and leading a multi-cultural team.

Responsibilities

The Glass Manufacturing Shift Supervisor (Hot End) will:

• Ensure quality and productivity by monitoring and performing mechanical, visual, and informational system checks.
• Review shift operations and make recommendations to improve service, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Ensure all employees are adequately trained and knowledgeable of department procedures.
• Monitor control charts and review process shifts with key personnel.

Requirements

• Ability to delegate assignments and monitor responsibilities of work groups.
• Knowledge and understanding of all customer requirements and plant emergency procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
• Experience with administrative duties involving time records, production reports, general correspondence, absentee and vacation schedules, safety investigations, and disciplinary records.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a Union environment.
• Administrative duties experience.

We Offer

• Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 with a Shift Differential Bonus of 8% monthly and a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus.
