About the Position
We are looking for a Global Category Manager HR, Audit, Risk & Travel Category to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role is responsible for developing and driving category strategies related to HR, Audit, Risk, and Travel. The ideal candidate will ensure significant year-on-year cost improvements while meeting financial and budget targets.
Responsibilities
Category Expertise
- Provide and share category trends, developments, and risks for assigned sub-categories with Procurement colleagues and senior business stakeholders.
- Leverage expertise to lead negotiations with global operating Payroll, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Learning and Development service providers, and Risk-Audit service providers.
- Manage sourcing initiatives related to HR services, Travel category, and Statutory Audit services.
- Implement contracting frameworks, fee models, and billing structures for the categories related to HR, Audit, Risk, and Travel.
Category Management
- Establish and manage business stakeholder relationships and align on business-specific objectives.
- Identify business innovation opportunities and understand stakeholders' needs.
- Develop and execute forward-looking category strategies and plans for the HR, Finance, and Risk solutions category.
- Manage and conduct supplier segmentations and manage supplier performance and risk.
- Execute strategic sourcing activities, provide project-level risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Build supplier relationships, prepare/validate negotiation strategies, and manage escalations/conflicts.
- Consult the Procurement Leadership team on the development of the procurement strategy.
- Manage buying channel strategies and drive contract and third-party risk compliance.
People Management
- Lead the sourcing & category experts in their area of expertise and procurement generally.
- Coach category buyers on negotiation, analysis, and strategy building.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams across regions.
- Perform stakeholder management activities with senior stakeholders.
Requirements

Work Experience:
-
6 years in Procurement area, preferably at a strategic level in an international financial services provider organization.

6 years experience in managing (hierarchical line) direct reports or actively coaching (functional) procurement colleagues.

5 years of Category specific experience for HR services including global outsourcing agreements in areas such as Payroll, RPO, L&D, and proven experience in Risk-Audit activities including Statutory Audit Global Agreements in large financial services companies.
- Proven track record in delivering Procurement Value. Experience in leadership and transformation. Experience working with offshore teams.

We Offer
- Competitive salary range: €7.761 - €12.343 per year.
- 36 or 40-hour workweek.
- Individual leave: 24+2 individual holiday days based on a 36-hour workweek.
