About the Position
The Global Site Manager oversees and coordinates operations across multiple international locations to ensure consistent standards in performance, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role delivers both strategic direction and hands-on operational leadership to site managers and cross-functional teams, promoting efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. Serving as a critical link between corporate leadership and regional operations, the Global Site Manager ensures alignment with organizational objectives, successful project delivery, and effective utilization of resources across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily construction activities to ensure the project progresses according to schedule and specifications
- Supervise site personnel, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring all work is performed to industry standards and in compliance with safety regulations
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks
- Monitor project timelines, identify potential delays or conflicts, and implement corrective actions to maintain project momentum
- Coordinate delivery and allocation of materials, equipment, and resources to avoid shortages and minimize downtime
- Attend Design Team Meetings ensuring timely and adequate input from subcontractors to the design process and contribute to buildability issues, Health and Safety or better ways of performing the requested work based on experience
- Review drawings, blueprints, and technical plans to ensure proper execution of construction tasks
- Ensure that the full and up to date set of Construction status drawings and specifications was shared with all contractors involved in the project for a better visibility
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and local authorities to ensure smooth communication and prompt issue resolution
- Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, inspection records, and safety reports
- Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all work meets industry standards, client expectations, and building codes
- Address on-site challenges, including technical issues, labor concerns, and unforeseen conditions, using sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong English communication skills, with proficiency above the intermediate level in both speaking and writing, especially when using technical terminology
- Ability to travel internationally for relatively short periods of time to supervise, verify, and coordinate various projects
- Familiarity with Fire and Safety systems (Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Smoke detection), extra-low voltage setups, and data center operations
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of the operating principle of UPSs, generators, and redundancy solutions in electrical engineering
- Civil Engineering experience (including metallic structures, Fit-Out's)
