Golang Platform Engineer (Cloud & Security)

About the Position

Altinity is looking for a great Golang Platform Engineer (Cloud & Security) to work on ClickHouse, the hottest analytic database on the planet. ClickHouse now has more contributors than ElasticSearch, previously the biggest analytic project on GitHub. We’re looking to hire even more. As a Golang Engineer, you will be helping us build out Altinity.Cloud, an enterprise-ready, cloud service for managed ClickHouse.

Responsibilities

• Help build enterprise-ready cloud services for ClickHouse
• Deploy and operate public-facing, container-based services
• Ensure outstanding site operation skills, including native fluency in Golang
• Leverage minimum 3 years of experience with Golang and minimum 5 years of experience in software development in general
• Demonstrate proven operational skills on Kubernetes and public clouds including AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
• Showcase outstanding knowledge of networking (including DNS, load-balancers, peering), storage, and compute
• Exhibit strong security awareness and hands-on experience securing cloud-native infrastructure and production systems

Requirements

• Interest in all things cloud and understanding of the plumbing that makes cloud applications work
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Golang and minimum 5 years of experience in software development in general
• Proven operational skills on Kubernetes and public clouds including AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
• Outstanding knowledge of networking (including DNS, load-balancers, peering), storage, and compute
• Strong security awareness and hands-on experience securing cloud-native infrastructure and production systems
• Experience with Kubernetes security, authentication/authorization, secrets management, secure networking, CI/CD hardening, or production incident response/security practices is highly valued
• Ability to work easily with remote engineers
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn new technologies
