About the Position
Graduate Internship – NFR AI Agent Developer

As a Graduate Intern, you will support the development of intelligent agents that enhance Non-Financial Risk (NFR) management within ING. This internship offers hands-on experience in applying advanced data science, AI, and automation techniques to real-world risk challenges in a highly regulated banking environment.
You will work on designing, building, and testing agent-based solutions that support risk identification, monitoring, and reporting processes. This role provides a unique opportunity to bridge data science and risk management while contributing to innovation within the bank.
Responsibilities
- Agent Development & AI Solutions
- Design and develop agent-based solutions to support NFR processes with Co-Pilot
- Prototype and validate new approaches for automation in risk management
- Data Analysis & Process Improvement
- Analyze and process structured and unstructured data relevant to NFR domains
- Translate and identify business problems into data-driven solutions
- Research & Innovation
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, agents, and data science
- Support knowledge or training sessions on AI within Non-Financial Risk team
- Collaboration
- Work closely with NFR experts, IT teams, and other stakeholders
- Present outcomes, demos, and recommendations to the management team
Requirements
- Master student in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience with machine learning, data analysis, or AI/LLM frameworks
- Experience working with Microsoft Co-Pilot
- Experience with prompt engineering and building agents
- Interest in risk management, banking, or regulatory environments
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
Internship Details
- Duration: Minimum 6 months (graduate internship)
- Location: Amsterdam
- Number of hours: 36 hours
- Start date: To be agreed
