About the Position
Hafen Mitarbeiter (m/w/d)
Chemion Logistik GmbH, a logistics service provider specializing in the needs of the chemical and related industries, is seeking a Hafen Mitarbeiter (m/w/d) for our logistics team in Leverkusen. This role involves handling the safe transfer of bulk and liquid shipments.
Responsibilities
In your role as Hafen Mitarbeiter (m/w/d), you will be responsible for:
Liquid Transfer:
- Connecting and disconnecting inland ships to the pipe joints and hose lines of the tank ship docks
- Monitoring the transfer from the control room or on-site
- Handling documentation
- Emptying residues, pressure cleaning, and flushing pipelines
Bulk Material Transfer:
- Operating transfer equipment such as excavators and port cranes
- Unloading and loading bulk material ships
- Maintenance and upkeep of transfer equipment
- Handling documentation
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a technical field or equivalent education
- Knowledge in material transfer and ship unloading of bulk goods is desirable
- Experience as a tanker bridge operator after a training phase (approx. 6 months)
- Knowledge in inland shipping and hazardous materials, as well as crane and excavator operations is desirable
- Crane operator's license, earthmoving machinery license (can be obtained if necessary)
- Class B driver's license
- Full-time operation
