About the Position

As Head of Architecture Office (all genders), you are responsible for the product architecture of our software solutions for capital markets and payments. You shape how our products are technically built and ensure they evolve in a scalable, high-performance and future-proof way.

Responsibilities

• Owning the target architecture and technical roadmap of our products and platforms in close alignment with Product Management
• Developing and maintaining cross-product core frameworks, reusable components and shared services
• Defining and enforcing architecture principles, design patterns and standards for all product teams
• Reviewing technical designs from engineering teams and making decisions on key technology and platform questions
• Designing high-performance, low-latency, secure and resilient architectures for our trading products
• Driving the modernization of existing products towards cloud-native and modular architectures
• Ensuring that regulatory, security and audit requirements are reflected in the product architecture
• Advising senior management on technical risks, trade-offs and emerging technologies
• Leading and developing a team of product and solution architects

Requirements

MUST HAVE

• At least 10 years of experience in software development or software architecture, including at least 5 years in a leading architecture role in a highly regulated market
• Proven experience in architecting software products or platforms, ideally at a product company
• Solid experience in FinTech, capital markets or payments
• Experience with low-latency trading systems
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven systems and integration patterns
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in leading a team of architects with personnel responsibility
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
