About the Position

We are seeking a Head of Credit Risk Management for our corporate banking team in Singapore to lead credit risk strategies and frameworks.

A banking institution with an extensive network across the Asia-Pacific region is seeking a senior leader to oversee its corporate credit risk function. The organization is well-regarded for its market stability, progressive corporate culture, and strategic focus on sustainable institutional growth.

Responsibilities

  • As a key member of the senior management team, you will lead a dedicated regional team of professionals to manage credit risk strategies, underwriting operations, and exposure monitoring across a diverse portfolio of institutional financial solutions.
  • Act as the final decisive credit authority for a complex regional corporate portfolio, ensuring independent risk evaluation in alignment with internal governance and regulatory standards.
  • Spearhead the development, implementation, and refinement of credit risk management frameworks to successfully mitigate losses while enabling sustainable market growth.
  • Provide robust management and mentorship to a team of specialized risk officers, cultivating a culture of high productivity, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
  • Manage high-risk and stressed corporate exposures with specialized monitoring strategies, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate categorization.
  • Partner collaboratively with commercial business leaders and participate in regular client engagements to provide strategic risk insights that enhance portfolio quality and pricing decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of extensive experience in senior credit risk management roles within corporate or institutional banking environments.
  • Deep technical command of diverse debt and structured financing instruments, trade finance, commodities, and derivative products.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing specialized risk assessment teams across multi-jurisdictional operating environments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain a firm independent perspective while building strong relationships with senior business stakeholders.
