CHALLENGE
The design at TRIBBU needs to move from being a collection of individual efforts to becoming a system: with its own methodology, a continuous discovery track, and a Design System that doesn't rely on anyone's memory. Today, we have a Product Designer, a Senior Product Designer, and a User Researcher doing great work, but without a vision that connects them, while our CPO acts as the design leader in addition to their actual role. The TRIBBU product is growing faster than our ability to design it coherently, and that's noticeable in every flow, every friction, every decision the user makes in seconds.
- Build and maintain our Design System, tokenized and AI-ready: scalable and designed for AI to understand and use it, not just people.
- Design how we work in discovery, how we move from a poorly defined problem to a validated solution.
- Set up a prototyping system that allows us to fail fast and cheap, validating ideas in hours, not weeks.
- Truly lead the design team: meaningful 1:1s, helping each person identify what holds them back and what drives them, and making decisions about priorities when the team is unclear.
- Protect deep design time from constant urgency.
- Collaborate closely with the CPO and technical teams, translating between business, research, design, and development.
You won't be doing a little bit of everything. You'll decide where the team's energy is best invested, and you'll build the design system that supports TRIBBU as we continue to multiply users and shared journeys month by month.
Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain our Design System, tokenized and AI-ready.
- Design the discovery process, moving from poorly defined problems to validated solutions.
- Set up a prototyping system for rapid and inexpensive failure.
- Lead the design team effectively, facilitating meaningful 1:1s and decision-making.
- Protect deep design time from constant urgency.
- Collaborate closely with CPO and technical teams.
Requirements
- Experience leading design teams.
- High proficiency in Figma and AI tools applied to design.
- Solid knowledge in User Research and genuine empathy with the user.
- Experience building and maintaining Design Systems.
- Top-tier judgment in usability and user experience.
- Experience working closely with product and engineering teams.
- Experience designing apps.
Bonus Points if you also have experience in experimentation, knowledge of Scrum/Kanban, optimization of speed metrics, good communication skills with stakeholders, experience in mobility, or experience in B2C mass market.
Culture
You will report directly to Juanma, our CPO, and work closely with the Product Designer, Senior Product Designer, and User Researcher you will lead, as well as with the product and engineering teams. At TRIBBU, there is no bureaucracy or heavy hierarchies: decisions are made close to the problem, and each person builds with real autonomy. We eliminate technical tests at home and replace them with agile conversations where what matters is how you think, not how you memorize.
Perks
- Salary: €45,000 - €55,000 depending on experience.
- Location: Madrid. We come to the office from Monday to Friday but with flexibility and freedom.
- Real Ownership: You will have full ownership of the Design System, the discovery methodology, and the prototyping system of TRIBBU, with total autonomy to decide what to build and why.
- Healthy Body: Personal training sessions in the office gym 3 days a week. No excuses!
- Phantom Shares: We want you to be part of the success and feel like you own what you build.
- Flexible Remuneration: Save on your dining and public transport expenses. More things to come.
- Free Travel: Travel with TRIBBU and experience the impact of every flow and every design decision you and your team have built on every journey.
- Flexibility: Flexible hours because we trust in your commitment and results.
- Pet-Friendly: We know that pets are part of the family. That's why you can bring your four-legged companion to the office, always respecting basic rules to ensure the well-being and coexistence of everyone.
About the Company
There was a day when someone looked at the sky and thought: what if we could fly? And today we cross the world by plane.
Someone wondered: what if we could sleep at a stranger's house? And Airbnb was born.
We asked ourselves another question: why do we keep filling the roads with empty-seat cars?
It didn't make much sense. That's how TRIBBU was born.
Eight years later, one in a hundred people in Spain already shares a car with us, and we exceed one million trips per month.
But this is not just about filling cars. It's about changing the way we move.
Our vision is easy to tell. Achieving it, not so much: making car sharing as normal as taking a bus.
And to move something like this, you need people who also ask questions. Who question what doesn't work. Who want to build something big, useful, and more human.
If you also believe that there are better ways to do things, we might have a lot to move together.
