About the Position
CLAAS E-Systems GmbH, a part of the CLAAS Group, is seeking a Head of Embedded E/E Platforms to lead the development of a scalable, future-proof embedded software platform. Join our team to contribute to the development of intelligent and sustainable electronic solutions that connect machines and people.
Responsibilities
- Overall Responsibility: Define, develop, and continuously improve a scalable, future-proof embedded software platform (e.g., based on Embedded Linux or AUTOSAR).
- Team Leadership: Provide technical and managerial leadership to a development team, including capacity and cost planning for the area of responsibility.
- Method Development: Establish and further develop modern development methods (e.g., CI/CD, DevOps) in the embedded environment to ensure software reusability, security, and high quality across various hardware products.
- Architecture and Strategy: Develop software architectures and platform strategies to sustainably optimize product development.
Requirements
- Education: Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience: Several years (ideally 7–10+ years) of experience in hardware-related software development (C, C++) and proven leadership experience.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of embedded operating systems (e.g., Embedded Linux, AUTOSAR, RTOS), microcontrollers/SoCs, and experience with toolchains and build systems (e.g., Yocto).
- Functional Safety: Experience in the field of functional safety according to ISO 26262 or ISO 25119.
- Additional Skills: Interest and openness to digital technologies, especially in the field of artificial intelligence.
- Soft Skills: Strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and very good German and English language skills in speech and writing.
