Head of finance department

About the Position

inVerita is seeking a Head of Finance Department to lead the company's financial direction and help develop and scale financial processes. The role involves managing the company's financial system and ensuring its effective functioning, from the accuracy of management accounting and operational liquidity to the implementation of the financial strategy. The expected outcome is reliable financial data and timely, well-grounded financial decisions based on a unified methodology.

Responsibilities

• Management Accounting and Reporting: Defining the methodology and organizing the formation of the company's management accounting and reporting (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet); ensuring data accuracy and timely reflection in the management accounting environment (FinMap); preparing reports and analytics for the CEO.
• Legal Entities, Taxes, Compliance: Managing and controlling the accounting and tax processes of legal entities in various jurisdictions (UK, Poland, Ukraine, Colombia) and individual entrepreneurs (Ukraine); ensuring compliance with Diya City residency criteria, obtaining critical status, employee reservation, and audit; CIC reporting; optimizing the group's tax burden; collaborating with external accountants, auditors, and lawyers in different jurisdictions.
• Liquidity, Budget, Payments: Optimizing the company's cash flows, preventing cash shortages; budgeting for the company and its divisions, monitoring execution; managing accounts receivable and payable; working with bank accounts-opening and closing, monitoring, communication with Ukrainian and Polish banks, financial monitoring; currency operations and exchange rate risk management.
• Financial Analysis: Calculating the profitability and cost of projects and areas; calculating key performance indicators; payroll and bonus accruals.
• Legal Support: Providing legal support to the company, interpreting legislation with legal consultants; refining contracts, ensuring contract terms meet company requirements; preparing registration and permit documents.
• Department Management: Managing the department's work-organizing tasks, distributing responsibilities, coordinating, consulting; setting goals, motivating, and developing the team; automating and improving department processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years in financial management, with 2+ years in a managerial position.
• Understanding of Ukrainian tax legislation and taxation principles in Ukraine.
• Ability to read contracts and identify financial and legal risks.
• Economic education.
• Results-oriented.
• Flexibility and adaptability to situations and schedules.
• Ability to find and propose solutions.
• Ability to build workflows according to company business goals.

Nice to Have

• Practical experience with a group of legal entities in multiple jurisdictions.
• Understanding of Ukrainian tax law and EU/UK tax principles.
• Experience in Diya City.
• Experience at the intersection of finance and law.
• Experience in company registration in new jurisdictions.
