About the Position

Autonomy in Every Drone

The Fourth Law is a leading Ukrainian manufacturer of autonomy technologies for drones. Our solutions are codified according to NATO standards and are currently utilized by over 50 units of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as 20+ drone manufacturers.

Our products are named after prominent Ukrainian figures of the “Executed Renaissance” and the “Sixtiers” movement-Vasyl Stus, Olena Teliha, Mykola Zerov, and Anatoliy Lupynos.

In 2026, the company was recognized by DOU as the most promising project in the defense tech sector.

Purpose of the Role: The Head of Group Accounting will lead a newly established, shared accounting function serving both the Odd Systems and TFL groups. This role owns the design and day-to-day operation of a unified accounting organization spanning Ukrainian and international entities, sets a single accounting policy and set of controls across the group, and drives the accounting workstream of the group’s move to an automated, ERP-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build the function - lead and develop a unified Group Accounting function spanning the Ukrainian and non-resident entities of both the Odd Systems and TFL groups
  • Unify accounting policy - design and roll out a single, consistent accounting methodology across all group entities, replacing today’s fragmented, entity-by-entity practices
  • Manage the team - directly manage and coordinate three subdivisions: Ukrainian Companies Accounting, International (Non-Resident) Companies Accounting, and Payroll Accounting
  • Enable intercompany accuracy - build unified, comparable accounting data to support correct allocation of shared costs and regular reconciliation and settlement of intercompany balances between the two groups
  • Drive Odoo implementation - own the accounting workstream of the Odoo ERP rollout across both groups, from process design through go-live
  • Manage non-resident tax risk - ensure proper local accounting and tax compliance for non-resident entities (currently in the US, Netherlands, and Estonia, with further jurisdictions expected)
  • Develop people - recruit, develop, and mentor accounting team leads and staff, raising the overall maturity and proactivity of the function
  • Partner across Finance - partner with Finance, Treasury, and Group Taxation leadership so accounting data reliably supports management reporting, budgeting, treasury operations, and group-level tax planning
  • Report to leadership - report directly to the Finance Director on the performance and development of the Group Accounting function

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction accounting operations
  • strong command of Ukrainian accounting and tax rules (P(S)BO, Tax Code) and working familiarity with international accounting frameworks (IFRS or equivalent) and at least one non-resident jurisdiction (US, EU, or similar)
  • proven track record of building or standardizing an accounting function across multiple legal entities or business units - designing policy, unifying processes, and driving change
  • experience with ERP implementation or migration; Odoo experience is a strong plus
  • strong people-leadership skills: hiring, developing, and mentoring accounting team leads
  • fluent English and Ukrainian
  • comfortable working in a hybrid setup with regular in-office presence in Kyiv

Nice to Have

  • experience in a manufacturing, defense-tech, or export-controlled industry
  • familiarity with the Diia City or Defence City tax regimes
  • experience with intercompany accounting and cost allocation across affiliated company groups

We Offer

  • Work that has a real impact. We build products that directly strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
  • Opportunity to work alongside top-tier engineers in MilTech and autonomous systems.
  • Official employment under the Diia.City legal framework.
  • The possibility of reservation (deferment) for conscripts in accordance with the requirements of current legislation.
  • Annual paid leave - 24 calendar days.
  • Additional paid leave for veterans - 14 calendar days.
  • Paid sick leave in accordance with the law.
  • Voluntary health insurance after completing the probation period.
  • Possibility of reimbursement for training costs according to internal company policies.

We are not just looking for employees, but for like-minded individuals who share our values and are ready to build the future of Ukrainian MilTech.
