About the Position

Про компанію: for a retail business operating in Western Ukraine

We are seeking a Head of Legal department to ensure our retail business in Western Ukraine operates within the law and manages legal risks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly;
• Provide and interpret legal information, disseminate appropriate legal requirements;
• Represent and protect the company interests in courts and at different levels of authority, manage progress of outstanding litigation;
• Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements; assess implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention;
• Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management and shareholders;
• Provide continuous leadership, supervision, training and development of department staff ensuring an effective and motivated team.
