Head of Materials Management

About the Position

Henkel is looking for a Head of Materials Management for our production facility in Angren, Uzbekistan.

Ensure the seamless supply of raw materials and packaging materials for production in line with production plans and sales forecasts. Manage inventory, warehouse operations, and import shipments to achieve target levels of material availability, inventory levels, and working capital.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely availability of raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) to meet the production plan while maintaining optimal inventory levels and avoiding shortages or excesses.

• Plan the need for raw materials and packaging materials based on the production plan and sales forecast, control the issuance of purchase orders (PO) and delivery schedules (Call-off).

• Monitor material deliveries, control supplier inventories, and promptly identify risks in the supply chain.

• Prepare an annual forecast of material needs to support procurement and tender procedures.

• Manage the warehouse of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished product storage areas, ensuring efficient use of warehouse space.

• Control warehouse stocks, adherence to FIFO/FEFO principles, conduct inventories, and adjust warehouse balances as necessary.

• Coordinate the processes of disposal, write-off, and disposal of raw materials and packaging materials due to changes in recipes, packaging design, or product withdrawal from the range.

• Organize and control customs clearance of imported raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products, ensuring the availability of necessary documentation and preventing additional logistics costs.

• Manage inventory metrics in accordance with established KPIs, prepare forecasts, reports, and analytics for the business and cross-functional teams.

• Support the finance department in resolving GR/IR discrepancies.

• Interact with suppliers on issues of supply, documentation, and ensuring the continuity of supply.

Requirements

• Higher education in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or economics.
• Experience in material planning, logistics, procurement, or inventory management in a manufacturing enterprise.
• Knowledge of MRP processes, warehouse management, and international logistics.
• Experience in interacting with suppliers and customs authorities.
• Team management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
• Strong analytical skills and results orientation.
• Building an effective end-to-end supply assurance system from scratch for all cost categories of the BU with a focus on optimal total cost and best commercial terms.
• Maximizing the potential of the local and regional supplier base to support innovation.
• Developing operational excellence and implementing best-in-class processes to ensure a high level of supplier service and quality.
