About the Position

We are looking for a customer-focused and business-oriented leader who wants to be part of the new Payments business unit in Tieto Banktech, as Head of Payments Norway. Tieto Banktech powers some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Using automation, data, AI, and cloud, supported by hands-on guidance, we help banks modernize their core, strengthen trust, and deliver greater impact across the banking experience.

Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Strategy

  • Own and drive the Payments & Cash Management business in Norway
  • Collaborate across Banktech organization and take ownership of the Payments value chain in our Norwegian business
  • Translate Payments strategy into a clear local execution plan
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing and new bank customers
  • Ensure competitiveness and position Tieto as a leading payments partner in Norway

Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders in Norwegian banks
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on payments and cash management transformation
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development

Commercial & Growth

  • Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and new business
  • Support strategic sales initiatives and major deals in the Norwegian market
  • Work closely with Sales and Product teams to align offerings with market needs

Delivery & Execution

  • Ensure successful delivery of payments and cash management solutions to Norwegian customers
  • Oversee key programs, modernization initiatives, and customer implementations
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery quality, efficiency, and scalability

People & Leadership

  • Provide leadership and direction across functions (sales, product management, product development, delivery, and operations) in Norway
  • Build a strong, customer-focused, and high-performing local organization
  • Collaborate across the Payments BU to leverage global capabilities

Requirements

Experience and Background

  • Strong leadership experience within payments, banking, or fintech
  • Proven track record in managing customer-facing business units or portfolios
  • Deep understanding of payments and cash management, ideally in the Norwegian market
  • Experience working with banks and financial institutions
  • Experience in managing cross-cultural teams in several countries a plus
