Head of Product - AI (F/M/X)

About the Company

At ablefy, we believe passion can turn into a career for anyone. With ablefy.io, we give coaches, consultants, creators, and entrepreneurs everything they need to build and sell digital products online - simply and efficiently. 70,000+ entrepreneurs already trust us to power their business.

Born in 2015, ablefy has grown into a true all-in-one solution - courses, memberships, payments, e-ticketing, and more. We take care of the hard stuff, so our users can focus on what truly matters: growing their business.

Today we're the #1 platform for coaches and creators in the DACH region - and we're not slowing down. That's where you come in.

Our mission; to build software that empowers everyone to start, run and grow a successful digital business - borderless, is supported by our high performance principles that are crucial to our success:

  • Radical Collaboration
  • Constructive confrontation
  • Adaptive execution
  • Collective ambition
  • Evolving expertise
  • Empathetic leadership

Responsibilities

AI-First Product Strategy

  • Define how AI becomes the core of the Ablefy platform - not as features bolted on top, but as the intelligence layer underneath everything.
  • Understand what it means to build truly AI-native products: where agent-driven workflows change what users need from an interface, and where entirely new interaction models are required.
  • Frame the right product questions that give UX and Engineering the foundation to make these decisions well.

Agentic Systems & Orchestration

  • Have a real point of view on how autonomous systems are architected as products - not just as technology.
  • Knowledge of how agents interact, how context is managed across complex workflows, how conflicts between agents are resolved, and what it takes to make multi-agent coordination reliable at scale and translate this into clear building blocks, sequencing decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with protocols like MCP and what they mean for product design is a strong plus. You don't build these systems - but you partner closely with the engineers who do.

AI-First Seller & Buyer Experience

  • Play a central role in defining what the AI-first seller and buyer experience looks like on Ablefy. This goes beyond individual features or product areas - it is about shaping a coherent, differentiated experience across the entire visible platform, for both sides, with AI as the foundation.

Product Leadership

  • Lead a team of PMs and work closely with Engineering, Design, and Data.
  • Set the product culture - opinionated, user-centric, data-informed - and raise the bar on how decisions are made, documented, and communicated.
  • Bring new ways of working that match the speed and ambition of what we are building.

Requirements

Required

  • 7–10 years in product management, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
  • Proven track record shipping AI-powered products - not as a feature owner, but as the person defining the AI product strategy
  • Deep familiarity with agentic AI, autonomous systems, or multi-agent frameworks from a product perspective
  • Ability to translate a complex product vision into a clear roadmap and drive execution across teams
  • Strong cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Design, and Data
  • Excellent communication in English; German is a plus

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with AI-native product design: agent-driven workflows, new interaction models, and what changes when AI is the primary mechanism - not just a feature.
  • Proven ownership of complex, multi-sided experience products: community platforms, creator tools, learning environments, or similar.
  • SaaS platform experience, ideally in creator economy, edtech, e-commerce or B2B2C
  • Familiarity with LLM protocols, tool-use patterns, and what they mean for product design (e.g. MCP, function calling, RAG).
  • Understanding of monetization, subscription logic, and revenue optimization from a product lens.

Nice to Have

  • Technical background (engineering or data science).
  • Experience at a high-growth startup, Series A–C.
  • Familiarity with the DACH creator economy landscape.
  • Contributions to AI product thinking publicly - writing, talks, open-source.

We Offer

  • Paid time off – 30 vacation days.
  • A competitive salary.
  • A personal training and development budget of €1,500 per year.
  • Responsibility and trust from day one.
  • Individual coaching and further training to support you in your development.
  • A free BVG ticket.
  • Employee discounts at numerous companies (e.g. at the gym or in online stores).
  • Pension program with company match up to 30% of employee contributions.
  • A culture of equity and inclusion where you are appreciated for the person you are.

Diversity & Inclusion

At ablefy, we embrace our differences, as they are our greatest strength. We recognize that everyone has a unique perspective based on their experiences, identities, and thought processes, and we strive to create an inclusive environment for all. Discrimination based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability status, or any other aspect that makes you unique is not tolerated at ablefy. We aim to make growth accessible to everyone!

We know that no candidate checks every single box, and that’s okay! If you’re excited about this role and think you can bring something valuable to our team, we encourage you to apply-even if you don’t meet every requirement. We’d love to hear from you!
