Head of Technical Department

Our client, the leading energy company in Ukraine, is opening a vacancy for the Head of the Technical Department.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of a general technical policy for distributional companies.
• Managing the activities of committees on technical policy and occupational safety and health.
• Monitoring and support of the development of long-term growth plans and adoption of new technologies.
• Monitoring and examination of grid connection centers’ activity.
• Examination and support of the key investment projects.
• Acting as an expert in the decision-making of the procurement processes.
• Examination and support of occupational safety and health programs.

Requirements

• Higher technical education, additional economic education.
• Mandatory professional experience in an European electrical engineering company.
• Operational focus on the position, methodology, analysis, and control of the implementation of projects, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of the technical part of the distribution (grids, equipment).
• Project management skills.
• Experience in building up new functions.
• Mandatory knowledge of English (monitoring of position-related activities, benchmarking, external communications).
• Open-mindedness, continuous performance improvement.
• Result-oriented, systematic approach.
• Analytical mind.
• Critical economically-oriented thinking.
