Announcement of Selection for the Vacant Position of Head of the Civil Protection Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

We are seeking a Head of the Civil Protection Sector for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to lead and manage the sector effectively.
Responsibilities
- Organization, provision, and direct participation in the development of draft regulations, organizational and administrative acts, and other documents falling within the competence of the Sector.
- Providing advisory assistance to the structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on matters falling within the competence of the Sector.
- Development and implementation of measures to improve the organization and improve the efficiency of the Sector.
- Control over compliance with the rules of internal service (labor) regulations by employees of the Sector.
- Taking measures to create suitable working conditions for employees of the Sector, material and technical support, vocational training, and the exercise of other rights specified in job descriptions.
- Preparation of plans, reports on the main areas of activity of the Sector, and submission of proposals for the work plans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the next year.
- Participation in the work of advisory and collegial bodies, as well as in meetings held in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system on labor protection.
- Consideration of complaints, statements, citizens' letters, and other correspondence on matters falling within the competence of the Sector.
- Organization of the work of the Sector on the accounting and storage of materials of current office work and materials of accident investigations, the formation of cases, and their subsequent storage.
- Promoting the implementation of a unified state policy aimed at achieving equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
Requirements
- Education: Higher education with an educational degree not lower than a master's degree.
- Work experience: Experience in public service positions of categories “B” or “C” or experience of service in local self-government bodies, or experience in managerial positions of enterprises, institutions, and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership for at least two years.
- Proficiency in the state language: Fluency in the Ukrainian language.
Salary
- Official salary according to the staffing table in the amount of UAH 13,700. Increase to the official salary per rank in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 18, 2017. № 15 “Issues of remuneration of employees of state bodies” (with amendments).
- Other allowances, surcharges, and bonuses - in accordance with Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”.

- An application indicating the main reasons for taking up the position in accordance with Appendix 1 to the Procedure for Appointment to Civil Service Positions for the period of quarantine established in order to prevent the spread in Ukraine of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 290 of April 22, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure).
- A summary in the form in accordance with Appendix 2 to the Procedure.
- A statement informing that it is not subject to the prohibitions specified in the third or fourth part of Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Purge of Power”, and gives consent to the inspection and to the disclosure of information about it in accordance with the said Law.
