Healthcare Affairs and Patient Engagement Manager

We are seeking a successful candidate for the position of Healthcare Affairs and Patient Engagement Manager on behalf of one of the top 20 leading pharmaceutical companies in the world. This position is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, and you will report directly to the Head of Healthcare Affairs and Access.

Overview of the Position: To foster, initiate, and implement the development of patient-centered culture and processes at the local level, and to ensure the integration of a patient-centric approach in all selected therapeutic areas (pipeline and commercial indications).

Responsibilities

• Define and build long-term relationships with local and national patient organizations in line with the Patient Engagement strategy.
• Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder map of patient organizations in all priority therapeutic areas.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration with patient organizations in line with business priorities with clear objectives: gathering patient insights, creating value throughout the product lifecycle, improving treatment outcomes.
• Coordinate plans and activities with brand teams (and ICP), ensuring correct budget planning for patient initiatives.
• Local leadership and integration of a patient-centric approach in company strategies.
• Collaborate with internal functions: Medical, Marketing, Market Access, Healthcare Affairs, Public Affairs, Commercial, and others (Compliance, Communication, Regulatory, Patient Safety, Customer Experience, etc.).
• Regular interaction with the regional Patient Engagement team.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders: patients, patient organizations, scientific societies, physicians, contractors, and agencies.

Requirements

• Higher education in healthcare, biological sciences, pharmacoeconomics, public health, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with experience in interacting with patient organizations and advocacy groups or in related functions (government affairs, healthcare affairs, public affairs, communications, etc.).
• Experience in client-oriented positions in other organizations (CRO, patient organizations, NGOs, government or public institutions) is a plus.
• Proven experience in project management and strategy development.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle, local healthcare environment, regulatory and policy base, and understanding of HTA is critical.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Experience in a global dynamic environment, analytical skills, ability to interact cross-functionally, and a deep understanding of patient and customer needs.

• Network building and project management skills.
