About the Company

Our passion for innovation and our team’s creativity are recognized throughout the industry and remain the cornerstone of our work philosophy. Our team is comprised of over 200 highly qualified creators working in two creative spaces located in Piedmont, in the Laurentians, and in the Mile-End district of Montreal.

Our repertoire holds prestigious titles such as 300, Avatar, Hunger Games and Jurassic World, as well as in the last 6 instalments of the Star Wars franchise and the new Disney+ high-end TV series, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi and Andor.

At Hybride, first and foremost, we are good human beings, who value well-being and solidarity. We’re committed to fostering a work environment that is inclusive and respectful of all differences.

At Hybride, you can come as you are. We embrace diversity in all its forms. We’re committed to fostering a work environment that is inclusive and respectful of all differences.

Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying needs to onboarding;
  • Collaborate with department heads to anticipate staffing needs based on the expansion and contraction phases of projects;
  • Effectively manage critical hires and track open positions;
  • Coordinate bilingual job postings and ensure compliance with local language requirements, as applicable.

Performance Management

  • Support managers during performance reviews, improvement plans, and the use of performance management tools;
  • Participate in setting objectives and tracking their progress;
  • Guide managers toward preventive and effective management of performance issues.

Labor Relations and HR Support

  • Serve as the HR point of contact for managers and employees-be present, available, and responsive;
  • Oversee the resolution of complex labor relations issues (conflicts, accommodations, complaints, disengagement, etc.);
  • Advise managers on HR best practices to maintain a work environment conducive to team development and the achievement of objectives;
  • Support managers in developing their leadership skills, fostering team dynamics, and conducting difficult conversations.

Support to Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive management on workforce strategy and the optimization of organizational structures.

Terminations and Layoffs

  • Oversee the entire termination process-whether voluntary or involuntary-in compliance with labor standards and legal obligations.

HR Operations

  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in HR systems;
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable labor laws;
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies tailored to a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience as an HR generalist or HRBP, ideally in the VFX, animation, or any other related industry;
  • Solid experience in end-to-end recruitment in fast-paced, high-volume environments-experience in a production setting is a plus;
  • Excellent foundation in performance management and labor relations;
  • Experience in handling terminations with empathy and rigor;
  • Good knowledge of local labor standards and labor law;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal HR infrastructure-this is a generalist, hands-on role, not a specialized one;
  • Excellent judgment, exemplary discretion, and the ability to quickly build trust with managers and employees at all levels;

We Offer

  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment;
  • Be part of a creative and highly qualified team;
  • Competitive compensation package.
