About the AI & Data Division HR

  • AI & Data Division is responsible for analyzing data from various Rakuten services and providing solutions for service improvement, thereby supporting AI development. It is also a global organization with employees located not only in Japan but also overseas.
  • AI & Data Division HR Group addresses various challenges related to AI talent and organizational management that arise as the business expands.
  • Our mission is to break free from conventional thinking, accurately identify internal and external needs, and collaboratively develop HR strategies and systems that support corporate growth and contribute to the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Execution and Improvement of Strategic HR Functions:

    • Deeply understand the assigned department's strategies, goals, and challenges, and formulate and execute HR strategies to achieve them.
    • Provide strategic advice and coaching to organizational management on a wide range of HR issues, including organizational design, talent allocation, performance management, and engagement improvement.
  • Organizational Development/Change Management:

    • Understand the organizational structure, culture, and climate of the assigned department and identify challenges.
    • Propose and implement improvements to enhance organizational health.
    • Drive smooth transformations as needed.
  • Talent Development/Capability Building:

    • Based on the business strategy of the assigned business unit, identify necessary skills and capabilities and formulate talent development plans.
    • Promote the development of next-generation leaders.
  • Group Collaboration and Initiative Promotion:

    • Collaborate with the overall Group HR strategy and lead the introduction and promotion of global HR initiatives.
  • Labor Relations Management/Compliance:

    • Maintain a healthy work environment and manage risks, including compliance with labor laws, harassment response, and mental health care.

Requirements

  • Mandatory Qualifications:

    • Experience as an HRBP.
    • Experience in people management.
    • Japanese: Business level.
    • English: Business level.
  • Desired Qualifications:

    • HR experience at a company with 500 or more employees.
    • TOEIC 800+ (or equivalent certification/proof of degree from an English-speaking university).
