HR Generalist

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic People Team at Jerry.ai. This role is pivotal in managing multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and HR operations with a focus on integrating AI to streamline processes.

Compensation

• $80K – $100K

The starting compensation will fall within the pay range listed, determined by job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation may also include stock options.

Responsibilities

• Multi-state compliance: Tracking state-by-state law changes, drafting policy updates, and ensuring their implementation across every employee classification and pay range.
• Annual compliance audit and handbook refresh: Leading this process from start to finish within the first 90 days.
• Escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions: Handling complex issues that require a more experienced hand.
• Reviewing and unblocking the work of our Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Rearchitecting our HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset: Rethinking how the function should work.
• Growing into ownership of day-to-day HR operations management over time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team where you touch payroll, benefits, and compliance yourself
• Excited (not resistant) to build with AI.
