Since 2020, Sandbox Interactive has been part of the Stillfront Group. Our team is passionate about making Albion Online the best possible game, and we are constantly looking for talented employees to join our growing team in the heart of Berlin.
Responsibilities
As an HR Manager at Sandbox Interactive, you will be the point of contact for employees and managers, shaping a fair, reliable cooperation. Your focus will be on employee relations, cooperation with our works council, and the further development of our performance processes and HR projects.
You will report directly to the Head of HR and work closely with our HR Operations & Talent Acquisition Manager. In your area of responsibility, you will independently manage topics, provide concrete solution proposals, and coordinate complex or particularly sensitive issues with the Head of HR early on.
You will advise employees and managers
- You will independently handle employee issues and advise managers on HR policies, performance issues, conflicts, and personnel-related everyday topics.
- You will listen, clarify facts, and develop comprehensible action recommendations.
- You will support the fair and uniform application of our HR processes and handle confidential information responsibly.
You will shape the cooperation with our works council
- You will coordinate the operational works council topics assigned to you and prepare information, meeting materials, and responses to inquiries.
- You will prepare participation procedures for personnel measures in coordination with the Head of HR and keep track of deadlines, documentation, and next steps.
- You will support the development and implementation of works agreements and the implementation of agreed measures.
You will develop performance and talent processes
- You will coordinate our performance reviews and improve processes, documentation, and the follow-up of agreed measures.
- You will support managers in formulating clear performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, and deriving development measures.
- You will participate in talent reviews, leadership development, career paths, and succession planning.
You will take responsibility for HR projects
- You will lead or coordinate defined HR projects and develop guidelines, guides, and processes.
- You will accompany organizational changes and support understandable communication with our employees.
- You will analyze HR data, such as turnover, absences, performance, or engagement, and derive recommendations.
- You will work closely with our HR Operations & Talent Acquisition Partner. You will share knowledge, ensure clear handovers, and represent each other in defined areas of responsibility during absences. This includes, for example, recruiting, onboarding, preliminary payroll, and central HR administration processes.
Requirements
You enjoy working with people and can address even difficult topics clearly and respectfully. You combine empathy with professional judgment: you consider different perspectives, take a position, and reliably bring topics to a conclusion.
You should bring
- You have at least three years of relevant professional experience in HR management, particularly in advising managers and independently handling employee issues.
- You have practical experience (at least three years) in working with a works council and are familiar with the operational preparation and support of participation processes.
- You have good knowledge of German labor law and co-determination and can apply this in everyday HR work.
- You have experience with performance reviews, feedback, or development processes and enjoy developing them further.
- You work structured and independently, document carefully, and recognize when additional coordination is required.
- You communicate clearly, respectfully, and bindingly. You proactively manage your topics, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure that next steps are coordinated and reliably implemented.
- You have very good German skills at least at C1 level in speech and writing, especially for cooperation with our works council as well as for advisory conversations and HR documentation.
- You have good to very good English skills at least at B2 level, ideally C1, and can confidently advise employees and managers in English.
- You are comfortable working with digital HR systems and common office applications and can use HR data for analysis and decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in preparing or implementing works agreements.
- Experience in HR projects, change management, or leadership development.
- Knowledge of HiBob and creating HR reports.
- Experience in an international company, ideally in the gaming or tech industry.
