Responsibilities
- Onboard new employees and ensure they have access to necessary resources and tech. Employment documentation is signed according to Spanish legislation and enrollment to their benefits according to Spanish benefit policy.
- HR daily operations, including employee records, system updates, and document management.
- Sick Leaves – make sure our database is correctly updated with the information in Social Security from our payroll provider.
- Explain the benefits for all new hires and current employees.
- Administer changes to salary, benefits, promotions, bonus, etc. and provide support to implement new Benefits packages or improve the current ones.
- Support the rest of the People team or any other department that needs it for any topics related to our employees’ payroll, administration, and benefits.
- Support employees on a day-to-day basis and answer questions about benefits, payroll, company policies, etc.
- Treat employees as internal customers and facilitate day-to-day work life.
- Oversee and manage the administrative aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution of processes from onboarding to offboarding, including maintaining accurate employment records, preparing employment documentation, facilitating changes to terms and conditions, and ensuring compliance with Spanish labor law throughout all stages of employment.
- Conduct and coordinate internal audits to ensure that employee files have all necessary documents for Spanish compliance purposes and maintain employee files with all updated employee data.
- Researching, identifying flaws in processes and operations, and proposing improvements and changes.
- Help keep our colleagues happy!
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience handling HR administration.
- Knowledge of Spanish Social Security, Spanish Tax regulation, and administration is a plus.
- Excellent data management skills - strong Excel and database management skills.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and Spanish.
- Proactive, hands-on, and eager to get your hands dirty!
- Detail-oriented – you are a freak when it comes to details.
- Always looking for ways to improve processes and optimizing coordination between colleagues.
