About the Position

HSE Specialist | Careers at DP World

We are looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to join our HSSE team and play a key role in strengthening our safety culture while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, international standards, and DP World's global HSE framework.

Responsibilities

• Managing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment, including inventory control, inspections, availability, and compliance.
• Coordinating emergency preparedness activities such as emergency response plans, drills, and improvement actions.
• Monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, company standards, and internal procedures.
• Conducting site inspections, identifying unsafe conditions, and following up corrective and preventive actions.
• Supporting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and HSE improvement initiatives.
• Coordinating contractor HSE compliance, documentation, committee meetings, and performance monitoring.
• Preparing HSE reports, monitoring KPIs, and supporting continuous improvement across the business.
• Working closely with operational teams, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture.

Requirements

• Minimum B-Class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably within port & terminal operations, logistics, industrial facilities, or similar high-risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish Occupational Health & Safety legislation (Law No. 6331).
• Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, emergency preparedness, and contractor safety management.
• Experience with PPE management, safety equipment, emergency response equipment, and HSE reporting.
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across different departments while independently managing priorities.
