We are seeking an In-Vehicle Tester with advanced Python skills and experience in test automation to join our team in Ingolstadt, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Manual in-vehicle testing
  • Implementation of automatic test cases with Azure Pipelines, Robot Framework, and Python
  • Analysis and reporting of defects in close collaboration with the development team
  • Support the development team with analysis of issues
  • Improve the existing test framework
  • Work closely with the manual test team to improve test cases
  • Doing test drives to fulfill certain scenarios for data collection use-case & performance testing

Requirements

Must Have

  • Driver License B
  • Prototype Driver License
  • Expertise on vehicle-test execution
  • Experience in testing activities on System Level
  • Soft skills: good communication, pro-activeness, etc...
  • Volkswagen Group experience including relevant tools like ODIS, IDEX, KPM,...
  • Python (advanced)
  • Robot Framework experience
  • Linux (System / Networking)
  • Advanced experience in Test Automation
  • Hardware knowledge
  • Integration expertise
  • Expertise on HIL Testing
  • Good knowledge in test processes, test techniques & reporting
  • Good understanding of agile test approach

Nice to Have

  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level, Automotive tester, Agile tester, or similar desirable
  • Experience in vehicle diagnostics would be a plus (UDS, DoIP)
  • Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform know-how
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive / embedded domain
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining of automated testing framework, harness, and tool set
  • Expertise in test automation tools for embedded systems
  • Knowledge of vehicle bus-systems and protocols (Ethernet, CAN)
  • Advanced experience in creating automated tests, executing them, and collecting results
  • Diagnostic knowledge in VW Context (UDS, VW-Norms)
  • Knowledge in SOME/IP, ViWi, TCP/IP, MQTT, RESTful services would be a plus
  • Experience in agile development (SCRUM and/or SAFe) would be a plus
  • Experience with Google Test-Framework would be a plus
  • Knowledge on AUTOSAR Classic or AUTOSAR Adaptive would be a plus
  • Understanding of Service-oriented architecture would be a plus
