About the Position
Luxoft is hiring an Industrial Data Engineer for their Madrid office. This role requires expertise in data engineering, industrial context, and cloud platforms.
Project Description
The project aims to enable an end-to-end industrial data platform by integrating OT systems (plant equipment, PLCs, sensors) with IT and cloud environments, supporting real-time data capture, processing, and analytics to improve operational efficiency, safety, and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design of ETL/ELT pipelines from edge to cloud
- Aggregation, cleaning, and standardization of industrial data
- Integration with corporate Data Lakes
- Data quality control and traceability
- Coordination with OT teams to minimize plant impact
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Engineering or similar is required.
- Experience in data engineering and knowledge of the industrial context (senior level) are required.
- 6+ years of experience
- Python, SQL, lightweight Spark, APIs
- MQTT/HTTP, Data Lake, TSDB
- Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
- Must not program PLCs or operate OT systems
- On-site work model
- Travel required to visit plants and work onsite within Spain and potentially abroad after rollout.
- English B2 (good spoken level)
