About the Position

We are seeking an Information and Technology Risk Management Specialist (NFR) to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. This role is integral to ING’s Non-Financial Risk domain, focusing on ensuring consistent implementation of NFR frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

As a QASLM NFR Specialist IV, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the NFR Quality Assurance & Second Line Monitoring (QA&SLM) team by contributing to assigned tasks and working on the team’s goals.
  • Performing second line monitoring on assigned key controls per framework.
  • Analyzing the outcome of the SLM activities and sharing clear and transparent reports to the ING entities.
  • Applying your solid understanding of non-financial risk and analytical skills to support internal teams and develop positive working relationships.
  • Contributing to ING’s non-financial risk management efforts and helping maintain compliance with regulations by performing your duties diligently.

Requirements

  • University/Postgraduate (Master’s) Degree
  • Experience with Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Management frameworks, governance, and methodology including related processes, controls, and relevant regulations (e.g., EBA, ECB).
  • Experience with Information & Technology Risk Management Policies and related internal control standards (e.g., Identity and Access Management, Cyber, Data, AI, and Emerging Technologies).
  • 3+ years of working experience preferably within the banking sector and/or IT audit.
  • Good knowledge of analytical, problem-solving, and delivery skills.
  • Sound stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, good presentation skills, and coordination capabilities.
  • Ability to work across geographies.
