About the Position

Information Security Manager

We are seeking an Information Security Manager to lead our ISMS development and security measures in Sankt Augustin, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Build and further develop the ISMS
• Analyze legal and regulatory requirements and advise executive management
• Provide transparent reporting on the security situation
• Coordinate security measures and audits
• Support teams with implementation of security measures and knowledge sharing of best practices
• Develop and maintain emergency and crisis management processes
• Provide appreciative, solution-oriented support for information security incidents
• Promote a sustainable security culture via training and awareness campaigns
• Strengthen belonging and participation across the entire organization

Requirements

• Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in relevant fields (natural sciences, humanities, economics, or comparable)
• Very good understanding of IT
• Solid knowledge of information security management according to BSI IT-Grundschutz and ISO/IEC 27001
• Several years of professional experience in IT security (ideally in universities, administration, or research)
• Strategic and analytical way of thinking
• Clear communication and respectful collaboration with leadership and teams
• Initiative and organizational skills
• Cooperative driving of information security as a cross-functional task
