We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Munich. You will play a key role in our internal IT transformation, managing our network, storage, and VMs, and enhancing our backup and monitoring systems.

For this position, an office presence of 3-4 days per week in Munich is required.

Responsibilities

• Network Management: Operate and continuously expand our internal heterogeneous network with separate VLANs across multiple floors, WiFi for over 150 clients, and VPNs.
• Cluster and Storage Management: Manage our Proxmox-Cluster and NetApp-Storage and the VMs (Linux and Windows) deployed on them.
• System Enhancement: Develop and improve our backup and monitoring systems.
• User Administration: Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
• IT Equipment Support: Provide IT equipment (laptops, mobile phones, etc.) and support for all KINEXON employees.
• Directory Administration: Administer the Active Directory and Entra ID Tenant.

Requirements

• Hands-on mentality and team-oriented approach.
• At least 5 years of experience with Linux, comfortable with the command line, and ideally holding a Linux certification (e.g., LPIC, RHCA, etc.).
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong focus on security and implementation of secure systems.
• Experience in managing mission-critical network and server infrastructure is a plus.
• Proficiency in network configuration, routing, firewalls, VPN, and virtualization is ideal.
• Knowledge of a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is advantageous.
• Azure and AWS knowledge is a nice-to-have.
