About the Position

Inetum Toulouse is seeking a Database Engineer (H/F) to join their team in support of a major player in the space sector.

As part of an Inetum team of approximately 70 employees responsible for infrastructure, you will contribute to maintaining and evolving database infrastructure.

You will work in a demanding technical environment where system availability, performance, and reliability are major challenges.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support database infrastructures
• Supervise and ensure the availability, performance, and security of platforms
• Participate in the installation, configuration, update, and optimization of databases
• Industrialize and automate deployments using Ansible and Terraform in an Infrastructure as Code approach
• Contribute to the standardization of environments and continuous improvement of processes
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and business teams
• Produce and maintain associated technical documentation

Requirements

• Bac+5 degree in computer science or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in database administration within Linux environments

Prerequisites:

• Proficiency in at least one database technology such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Experience in database installation, configuration, and administration
• Strong skills in Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Knowledge of performance, backup, monitoring, and high availability issues
• Ability to work in critical and highly industrialized environments
• Good communication skills in French and English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automation using Ansible and Terraform
• Knowledge of GitOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Additional knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, or Elasticsearch
• Experience in an industrial, scientific, or space context
