As part of the development of our activities in the railway sector, we are looking for a Control-Command Engineer to work on complex systems with high safety and performance constraints.


Description of the Role

Within the engineering teams, you will participate in the design, verification, and evolution of the control-command functions of railway systems.


Responsibilities

Specification and Design

  • Analyze requirements from client specifications and requirements management tools.
  • Participate in defining the functional and software solution.
  • Write functional and technical specifications.
  • Design the control-command functions architecture.
  • Develop principle diagrams, algorithms, and input/output (I/O) definitions.
  • Ensure the coherence of technical choices with project requirements.

Verification and Quality

  • Verify the conformity of developments with functional requirements and performance objectives.
  • Produce and present justification elements associated with safety requirements, notably SIL2.
  • Perform documentary quality controls and compliance reviews.
  • Conduct modeling and simulation activities to validate software functional requirements.
  • Set up and maintain traceability matrices between requirements, design, and verification.
  • Participate in validation activities in compliance with the V-Model cycle.

Technical Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze anomalies identified during the different phases of the V-Model cycle (code reviews, simulations, test benches, laboratory tests, and field trials).
  • Identify root causes and propose appropriate corrective actions.
  • Implement necessary evolutions and corrections.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary technical meetings to ensure alignment between System, RAMS, Control-Command, and Software teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development methods, tools, and processes.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an engineering school or Master's degree (Bac+5) in automatics, industrial computing, electrical engineering, or embedded systems.
  • Significant experience in the design of control-command systems or embedded software.

Ideally, you have:

  • Knowledge of system engineering and the V-Model.
  • Experience in writing functional and technical specifications.
  • Mastery of verification and validation activities.
  • Knowledge of critical systems and functional safety requirements (SIL).
  • Ability to work in complex and highly regulated environments.
