About the Position

Ingénieur Mécanique Naval – Référent Technique (H/F)

We are seeking a Chief Technical Officer specialized in naval structure design and conception to join our team in Brittany.

Responsibilities

Expertise and Technical Leadership

• Guarantee technical mastery of the services and ensure the quality of the studies carried out
• Propose solutions adapted to functional, cross-functional, architectural, and industrial needs, while respecting technical and regulatory frameworks
• Ensure the feasibility of the defined solutions and justify them in the contractual deliverables

Technical Management and Coordination

• Ensure the technical implementation of the service and manage the needs of your team
• Coordinate front and back office activities to ensure smooth project execution
• Promote the development of employees through structured technical support
• Integrate technical documentation into the GDM of Naval Group SA

Capitalization and Continuous Improvement

• Ensure technical authorization of the contractor's employees, in alignment with the requirements of Naval Group SA
• Develop and formalize methods and best practices, ensuring their dissemination to the teams
• Contribute to the capitalization of knowledge and the improvement of internal processes

Requirements

Education / Experience

• Degree from an engineering school with at least 5 years of experience in mechanical structure design, ideally in the naval sector (barges, frigates, submarines, etc.)
• Good mastery of naval sector regulations and standards

Technical Skills

• Design and 3D modeling of naval structures (beams, decks, bulkheads, stanchions, etc.)
• Expertise in CAD/PLM tools (preference for CATIA V6 and 3Dx)
• In-depth knowledge of materials and technologies of structures (profiles, panels, welded and bolted assemblies)

Personal Qualities

• Leadership and ability to structure a business line
• Appetence for training, coaching, and mentoring
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
• Curiosity and active technological vigilance

Languages and Mobility

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) required
• Mobility: Required travel for meetings and professional events
