Description of the Position

Within our company, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen our team dedicated to the continuous improvement of the quality of our products. This position is part of a Quality First Time approach and aims to ensure the compliance of incoming/outgoing products, while collaborating closely with our suppliers and internal teams.


Responsibilities

1. Development and Improvement of Quality Processes:

  • Respect and optimize the DFQ (Design For Quality) process in collaboration with the engineering bureau.
  • Create and maintain the SQS (Supplier Quality Specifications) according to the SPL lists.
  • Define acceptance criteria for products with technical teams.
  • Develop and monitor SPQD (Suppliers Process Quality Documentation) plans for FAI (First Article Inspection) and DI/IPA (Deviations/Inspections in Production and Acceptance).
  • Perform FAI clients and DI/IPA in accordance with defined schedules.
  • Ensure follow-up of open points and closure of FAI/CAF (Manufacturing Capability Certificate) with relevant managers.

2. Series Life and Quality Assurance:

  • Implement control keys for critical and new products, in view of the reception control.
  • Supervise or perform quality control of incoming/outgoing products.
  • Analyze non-conformities in collaboration with quality inspectors and REI (Internal Deviation Resolution) teams.
  • Capitalize on REX (Experience Feedback) and anticipate non-conformities through risk analysis and monitoring plans (Right First Time approach).
  • Propose solutions for improvement and resolution of non-conformities, in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Ensure the implementation of corrective actions at suppliers (on-site or in commercial service) and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Challenge and assist suppliers to identify causes of occurrences and non-detection (pilot 8D or QRQC if necessary).
  • Implement delivery authorizations or quality walls at suppliers in case of crisis.
  • Lead action plans for each supplier in the form of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) files.
  • Organize confcalls with critical suppliers to monitor their performance.
  • Invoice non-conformity costs to suppliers.
  • Perform a general risk analysis during missions at suppliers.

Requirements

  • Education: Engineering degree or equivalent in quality, mechanical, industrial production, or similar field.
  • Experience: Significant experience in supplier quality management, ideally in an industrial environment (railway, automotive, aerospace, or similar).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Mastery of quality tools: 8D, QRQC, PDCA, AMDEC, SPC, MSA.
    • Knowledge of standards ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
    • Experience in the management of FAI and DI/IPA.
    • Mastery of problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
  • Relational Skills:
    • Ability to work in a team and challenge suppliers.
    • Rigor, sense of organization, and ability to manage priorities.
    • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Languages: English required.
