Description of the Role
To strengthen its Naval pole, the Competencies and Practices Directorate of the ALTEN group is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer, under the responsibility of the Project Manager.
Main Missions
- Develop network plans and ensure the implementation of these plans within the global model
- Participate in pre-sales phases by analyzing client needs and developing technical responses in collaboration with the Project Directorate and Sales Directorate
- Act as a technical expert on specialized missions
- Train and support the ALTEN team
- Ensure the transmission of methods and best practices
- Contribute to the capitalization of skills and the development of knowledge within the trade community
Qualifications
Education / Experience
- Engineering degree or Master's (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design office applied to naval structures
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of naval structures and network coordination within ships
- Mastery of a CAD and PLM tool
- Specifications, expected performances, and current standards
- Knowledge in PID, electricity, and HVAC
Personal Qualities
- Sense of structuring trade lines, capitalization, and knowledge sharing
- Aptitude for training, coaching, and mentoring
- Attentive and customer-oriented
- Curiosity and active monitoring of new technologies and sector challenges
