Sopra Steria Infrastructure & Security Services is the business unit of Sopra Steria dedicated to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity activities. It is a key player in the end-to-end of Sopra Steria. With its 3,000 employees, Sopra Steria I2S stands out for the flexibility of its delivery model that combines customer proximity from our 8 agencies and the advanced industrial capabilities of our offshore service centers.

The Opportunity

You will join the Digital Platform Services (DPS) division within the Sopra Steria Lyon agency, composed of about a hundred employees.

Depending on the missions entrusted to you, you will evolve within internal Sopra Steria teams in Infogérance-type services or be directly integrated into client teams. You will be accompanied by a dynamic team that will actively involve you in the overall project.

Throughout your journey within the Group, you will be accompanied by your single manager, present in close contact with your mission, and who will support you in your career development.

Your Role and Missions

As a Linux Systems Engineer, your role is to meet client production and project demands on various technologies.

You maintain and administer client infrastructures:

• You manage the availability of client infrastructures
• You administer Linux components, in virtualized or on-premise environments
• You are in charge of support for Linux environments and perform routine and maintenance operations

You document and ensure follow-up:

• You are responsible for writing and maintaining operational documentation
• You generate activity and capacity reports for Linux system infrastructures

You resolve incidents and contribute to projects:

• You handle and follow up on the resolution of incidents across all client infrastructures
• You are involved in projects for the evolution of Linux infrastructures
• Possibility to participate in on-call duties

Your Profile

Graduated from an engineering school or equivalent, you already have significant experience in a similar role.

You master the following skills and knowledge (certifications appreciated):

• Unix/Linux operating system
• Virtualization (VMware ESX, RHEV, KVM)
• Clustering (Symantec...)
• Scripting (Python, Perl, PHP, Shell...)
• Open Source and Cloud technologies (OpenShift, AWS, GCP, Azure)

You have experience managing missions in agile ITIL or CI/CD mode.

You do not master all the technologies mentioned? No panic, thanks to the Sopra Steria Academy and its numerous training and certifications, we support you in the development of your skills.
