About the Position

BIA Human Capital Solutions is looking for a Senior Installation Engineer for a full-time position in Bucharest, Romania. The role is part of a complex design company with solid experience in civil and industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Technical coordination and solution development for thermal, electrical, and sanitary installation projects for civil and industrial buildings (schools, kindergartens, hospitals, blocks, halls, stadiums, etc.).
• Verification of technical documentation: DTAC, PT, DDE, technical reports, quantity lists, and execution plans.
• Collaboration with architects, structural engineers, and other specialties for the coherent integration of installation solutions in the overall project.
• Participation in internal and external technical meetings (with beneficiaries, contractors, verifiers, constructors, etc.).
• Verification of documentation prepared by the design team and ensuring technical quality and compliance.
• Analysis of beneficiary requirements and their translation into feasible and energy-efficient technical solutions.
• Providing technical support during the execution phase: clarifications, on-site adaptations, correct interpretation of plans.
• Monitoring and implementing quality standards and applicable technical legislation (I7, I9, I5, P118, PE107, NP015, etc.).
• Preparing calculation notes, verifying dimensions, and reviewing subordinate projects.
• Coordinating the technical team, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
• Constant reporting on the status of projects to the Director of the Installation Department.

Requirements

• Completed higher education in the field of Construction Installations (Faculty of Installations – UTCB or equivalent).
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in designing thermal, sanitary, and/or electrical installations.
• Proven experience in civil and industrial building projects (schools, hospitals, blocks, halls, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of Romanian and European technical standards.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, MagiCAD, Revit MEP, InstalSoft, Dialux, Caneco, or similar programs.
• Multidisciplinary coordination and project team management skills.
• Technical analysis, planning, and independent decision-making capabilities.
• Project management knowledge and technical communication skills.
• Availability to participate in technical meetings and site visits.
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of English (technical).

Nice to Have

• Holding a project verification certificate (MLPDA).
• Experience in coordinated BIM projects (Revit MEP, Navisworks).
• Field experience – interpretation and correction of solutions during execution.
• Additional certifications: ISCIR, ANRE, IGSU, etc.
• Experience in collaborating with authorities and project validation at verifiers.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainable solutions in construction.
