Intelligent Automation Consultant at EPAM Systems

As an Intelligent Automation Consultant at EPAM, you will be a strategic leader and subject matter expert, driving the successful delivery and expansion of our Intelligent Automation (IA) services for global clients. This role is a critical intersection of business strategy, technology consulting, and delivery oversight. You will be responsible for leading complex IA engagements, defining enterprise-wide automation strategies, and fostering client relationships at the executive level. Your mission will be to guide organizations through their AI and hyperautomation journey, helping them achieve efficiency gains, reduced costs, and improved customer experience by freeing people from repetitive tasks so they can focus on creativity, strategy, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior business leaders, developing and presenting compelling business cases and strategic roadmaps for AI-driven Intelligent Automation and digital transformation.
• Lead the development of customized, holistic Intelligent Automation strategies that integrate Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Smart Workflows, and Cognitive Analytics.
• Define and establish quantitative and qualitative benefits (KPIs, ROI) for automation programs and ensure solutions are scoped and delivered to meet these measurable business outcomes.
• Stay abreast of emerging technology trends in AI, Generative AI, and automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Platform) to continually evolve EPAM's offerings.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex Intelligent Automation programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and engineering teams to ensure the proposed solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with client business objectives and EPAM’s best practices.
• Lead process assessment and re-engineering efforts (Pre-Discovery and Discovery phases) to identify high-impact automation opportunities and streamline processes prior to automation implementation.
• Establish and enforce robust governance models for IA programs, managing dependencies, constraints, and providing technical and strategic leadership to project teams.
• Lead and actively participate in the full cycle of pre-sale activities, including proposal development, client presentations, and establishing project requirements and goals.
• Cultivate and expand relationships with key clients, identifying new opportunities to embed EPAM's Intelligent Automation expertise within their digital ecosystem.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the Intelligent Automation Consulting practice by elaborating on best practices, developing accelerators, and driving knowledge sharing across EPAM's global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, with a significant focus (5+ years) on leading and delivering complex Intelligent Automation, RPA, and AI/ML transformation programs.
• Proven track record in a leadership role (e.g., Manager, Senior Manager, or Director level) with experience managing large teams and diverse stakeholders, both client-side and internal.
• Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of the complete Intelligent Automation technology stack, including:
  • RPA/BPM Platforms: Deep expertise with leading platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Platform, Camunda, or Appian.
  • AI/Cognitive Technologies: Experience with Agentic Orchestration, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and their application in business process automation (e.g., Document Processing, Virtual Assistants/Chatbots).
  • Cloud: Familiarity with cloud-native solutions on major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to rapidly grasp a client’s business model and translate challenges into technology-enabled solutions.
• Proficient with process methodologies and development methodologies (Agile, SDLC, Iterative).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 level) with the proven ability to present complex topics to executive audiences.
