About the Data Lab Team

Are you passionate about data, artificial intelligence, and natural language? In the J-Science service line of JAKALA, we work every day to transform these technologies into concrete and high-impact solutions for companies.

We are a center of excellence with offices in Milan, Turin, Rende, and Rome, and we deal with Data Science, Location Intelligence, Large Natural Language Models, and platform development, designing advanced software with cutting-edge technology.

From AI applied to text and voice to semantic search, through speech technology and predictive analytics: we innovate to create real and accessible value, in complex and challenging contexts.

For the enhancement of the Data Lab area, within J-Science, we are looking for a Data Analyst / Data Scientist who wants to join a team of specialists dedicated to the development of innovative products and solutions based on proprietary micro-territorial databases, unique in Italy, that allow our client companies to increase sales and reduce the Cost to Serve, transforming the deep knowledge of Territory, Sales Networks, Customers, and Prospects into a competitive advantage.


Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a highly dynamic and "data-intensive" context, where you can express a high degree of autonomy.
  • Your focus will be on leveraging your statistical and geospatial analysis skills to take our data offering to the next level, actively supporting the company's strategic areas: Location Intelligence, Client Strategy, and Data & AI.
  • You will design and implement scalable solutions in the Data Science field, focusing on the integration of components, models, and Artificial Intelligence services.
  • You will work within dynamic project teams, collaborating with a mix of talents and experts in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI.
  • You will contribute firsthand to the evolution of our models applied to the spatial and territorial component of data.

Requirements

  • Degree in scientific or quantitative disciplines (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields).
  • Strong analytical skills, a strong aptitude for logical reasoning, and a deep interest in working with data and understanding its structure.
  • Excellent knowledge of Python and libraries for data processing, manipulation, and preparation (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
  • Good knowledge of SQL and the processes of extraction, cleaning, validation, and structuring of complex datasets.
  • Solid knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis methodologies, aimed at the application of statistical models and the construction of Artificial Intelligence systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a critical approach to solving complex problems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience or familiarity with Data Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or geographic tools (ArcGis).
  • Ability to translate analyses into operational insights for the business.
