Intern | Fullstack Developer (Maize)

JAKALA is a company that works on data, artificial intelligence, and the development of experiences to generate a significant and lasting impact globally. We are looking for an Intern Fullstack Developer to join our innovation design Studio Maize in Milano, Italy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (designers, content experts, strategists, developers) to develop innovative digital solutions
• Contribute to the design and realization of digital products and services tailored to meet real customer needs
• Experiment with the use of AI for writing better, safer, and faster code
• Participate in research and development (R&D) projects and our laboratories on cutting-edge technologies
• Analyze, test, and improve developed solutions, bringing concrete ideas and proposals

Requirements

• Knowledge of a Back-end programming language and/or a modern Front-end development framework
• Strong aptitude for research and experimentation with new tools, technologies, and languages
• Familiarity and strong curiosity in using AI Coding tools to accelerate development and create prototypes
• Understanding of code diversion tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD
• Good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Interest in Creative Coding (e.g., Three.js, WebGL, Shaders, Touchdesigner)
• Curiosity towards Digital Sustainability (Green Coding and web performance)
• Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch)
• Knowledge of modern web development principles (e.g., Mobile First, PWA, etc.)
• Understanding of data security, protection, and management principles
