About the Team

Maize is the innovation design Studio of JAKALA that deals with Innovation and Strategic Design.

In MAIZE, we support companies and leaders who understand that transformation is an orchestration of complexity: a challenge that requires a systemic approach, flexibility, and a good dose of courage. Over the years, we have guided this change by uniting collective intelligence and transversal expertise. Our clients are mainly large established realities, dealing with the crucial challenges of innovation. To meet these needs, we have refined our approach over time, evolving traditional consulting and technological know-how. The result is a unique working method: a multidisciplinary practice, design-oriented, and centered on people, integrating talents and skills from heterogeneous areas.

Daily Tasks

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (designers, content experts, strategists, developers) in the development of innovative digital solutions
• Contribute to the design and realization of digital products and services designed to meet real customer needs
• Experiment with the use of AI to write better, safer, and faster code
• Participate in research and development (R&D) projects and our laboratories on cutting-edge technologies
• Analyze, test, and improve the developed solutions, bringing concrete ideas and proposals

Required Skills

• Knowledge of a Back-end programming language and/or a modern Front-end development framework
• Strong aptitude for research and experimentation with new tools, technologies, and languages
• Familiarity and strong curiosity in the use of AI Coding tools to accelerate development and create prototypes
• Understanding of code diversion tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD
• Good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Interest in Creative Coding (e.g., Three.js, WebGL, Shaders, Touchdesigner)
• Curiosity towards Digital Sustainability (Green Coding and web performance)
• Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch)
• Knowledge of modern web development practices (e.g., Mobile First, PWA, etc.)
• Understanding of data security, protection, and management principles
