British American Tobacco DBS has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Intern in Selangor, Malaysia

This role supports the tasks in the Tax Compliance team, learning different types of Tax or Financial reporting work and internal and external report submissions.

SENIORITY LEVEL: Internship

FUNCTION: Finance

Reports to: Assistant Manager, Statutory Reporting and Projects

Geographic Scope: Asia Pacific Middle East, Africa

Responsibilities

• Build, update, and modify files pertaining to Withholding Tax / Sales and Services Tax
• Extract, review, and update E-invoicing reporting templates
• Explore and learn how to extract information from ERP software, analysis, and third-party software used for different projects
• Development of new skills on engaging with own team and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance or similar qualifications (e.g. ACCA / CPA)
• Good command of English spoken and written
• Basic computer programming understanding – MS Office (Excel, Words, PPT)
• Good verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
