About the Position

INTERNSHIP - Corporate Sector Coverage and Real Estate

ING Luxembourg is looking for a Corporate Sector Coverage and Real Estate Intern to strengthen its Wholesale Banking department for a 6-month internship (or longer), starting in October 2026.

Please note that only students who can provide a valid internship agreement (school convention) will be considered.

Responsibilities

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Prepare client pitches
  • Assist with business committee submissions
  • Conduct market analysis
  • Support the Relationship Managers on their workflow pertaining to deal structuring, KYC and Client Due Diligence matters in the context of account opening and entity onboarding
  • Handle different projects arising on an ad hoc basis
  • Generally support the Relationship Managers in their day-to-day work

Requirements

  • Preference for candidates in their final year of study, with a strong academic track record
  • Prior experience through internships is of added value but not pre-requisite
  • Detail-oriented team-player with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are required, any other additional languages are a plus
  • Looking for candidates with a strong eagerness to learn and who thrive in fast-paced environments

About the Department

As part of ING Wholesale Banking, the Corporate Sector Coverage team serves large local and multinational companies in Luxembourg, managing approximately 150 clients through a multi-product, multi-location strategy and focusing on long-term relationships. Within the Real Estate segment, the team supports Real Estate investment funds and key Real Estate players (e.g. Private Equity Sponsors, Insurers, SWFs, Developers etc.) involved in high-profile financing transactions in Luxembourg, spanning both asset-based lending and unsecured fund financing to investment grade REITs and private capital structures on a pan European level. The facilities and products provided to our clients are varied in structure and complexity, which requires an adequate professional level of client coverage and product knowledge.
