About the Position
INTERNSHIP - Lending Wholesale Banking
ING Luxembourg is looking for a Lending Wholesale Banking Intern to strengthen its Lending department for a minimum of 6 months. Please note that only students who can provide a valid internship agreement (school convention) will be considered.
Lending Luxembourg is a Front Office team providing Wholesale Banking Lending services to a broad client base, including Fund Finance, Corporate and Real Estate clients, as well as local subsidiaries of ING’s largest multinational clients.
Responsibilities
As a Lending WB Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international banking environment, working closely with colleagues across the ING network. The internship is primarily focused on analytical, portfolio-related, and support activities, under close supervision.
- Working closely with Client Coverage and various product teams to support lending solutions for Wholesale Banking clients
- Performing client research & financial analysis, contributing to credit assessments and maintaining credit files
- Supporting portfolio management activities, including credit quality monitoring and preparation of annual reviews in line with internal policies
- Assisting with documentation review and transaction execution, including due diligence and follow-up
The scope of your responsibilities will evolve gradually, depending on your learning curve, autonomy, and ability to take ownership of tasks.
Requirements
- Student currently enrolled in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- First experience in banking, credit, or finance is considered an asset
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Strong team player, proactive, and solution-oriented
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High motivation and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently while integrating effectively into a team
- Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and presentation tools
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Knowledge of French, while not required, would be an advantage
