About the Position

We are seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine, specializing in fire safety management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Development and updating of internal fire safety documentation: instructions, regulations, orders, evacuation plans, logbooks, and other documents.
• Conducting regular inspections of premises, buildings, and structures to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements and proper fire safety status.
• Monitoring the availability, functionality, and timely maintenance of primary fire extinguishing equipment and fire protection systems.
• Participation in organizing and conducting drills, fire safety briefings, and evacuation training for employees.
• Organizing employee knowledge assessments on fire safety issues.
• Interaction with government agencies and representing the company's interests during inspections, including those by the State Emergency Service.
• Ensuring the elimination of identified violations and developing measures to improve fire safety levels.
• Involvement in investigating the causes of fires and fire incidents, and developing and implementing preventive measures to prevent their recurrence.
• Providing consulting and methodological assistance to company employees on fire safety issues.

Requirements

• A full higher education in a relevant field.
• Experience working as a fire safety engineer or experience in the State Emergency Service - from 3 years.
• In-depth knowledge of legislation and regulatory acts in the field of fire safety.
• Knowledge of the principles of operation and requirements for the operation of fire protection systems, including automatic fire alarms, fire extinguishing systems, smoke removal, and fire warning systems.
• Knowledge of the rules for the operation, maintenance, and accounting of primary fire extinguishing equipment.
• Practical skills in developing internal fire safety documentation: instructions, orders, regulations, evacuation plans, etc.
• Experience in conducting fire safety inspections of facilities and organizing fire safety briefings and training.
• Responsibility, attention to detail, organization, and a systematic approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and effectively interact with employees from different departments.
