About the Position
IT Business Analyst | Financial Markets | IPA Business Support
We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Business Analyst for Financial Markets at ING Hubs Romania to support global dealing rooms and risk managers.
Responsibilities
- Performing incident and problem management activities, including root cause analysis to determine the actual failure cause and implement structural fixes. You communicate directly with users (Traders, Credit/Market Risk Managers) on this from Amsterdam, London, Brussels, New York, and Singapore.
- Providing level-2 support in deploying and running an application/stack in production. Willingness to work occasionally on weekends to support planned system changes and migration activities, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Finding opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance, and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a key responsibility of the Operations Engineers.
- Performing data improvement by (re)configuring new and existing products, reports, and processes in general.
- Understanding the entire stack’s technology on which the application runs and how it fits in the overall chain.
- Building, enhancing, and maintaining tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error-prone tasks, using the correct Event Alerts.
- Performing Functional testing and Change Management activities to ensure the safe deliveries from Test, to Acceptance, and to Production environment.
- Offering functional incident management on a front office pricing application, used within the Financial Markets domain worldwide.
- Supporting end users in using the application; enriching the back-end databases with new products, reports, and scheduled tasks.
Requirements
- Education: Completed education at Bachelor/Master level.
- Experience: 3+ years background in Financial Markets and/or Treasury.
- Skills/knowledge of the following concepts/technologies:
- Experience in Financial Markets and/or Treasury (interest rate and FX derivatives valuation, market risk modeling - for ex. Greeks and VaR).
- Familiarity with Market Data, Derived Market Data, and Credit products.
- Experience in Risk Management is a plus.
- Familiar with the Financial Markets regulation is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum.
- Experience with stakeholder management; managing FM stakeholders is a plus.
- Proven ability to define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across different software development and the business teams.
- Experience with product and service management and processes.
- Tech stack:
- Proficient in creating and validating SQL queries (Oracle SQL) to support business analysis, data validation, and report generation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Confluence.
- Foreign languages: English (excellent level).
