About the Position

IT Business Analyst | Financial Markets | IPA Business Support @ING Hubs Romania


ING Hubs Romania is seeking a dedicated IT Business Analyst to join our Financial Markets team, specifically supporting the ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) platform. This role is integral to our global dealing rooms and risk managers, providing end-to-end support to various customer journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incident and problem management activities, including root cause analysis and implementing structural fixes.
  • Provide level-2 support for deploying and running applications/stacks in production, including occasional weekend work for system changes and migrations.
  • Automate testing of existing features, performance, and security, as well as deployments and monitoring.
  • Reconfigure new and existing products, reports, and processes to improve data quality.
  • Understand the entire technology stack and its role in the overall chain.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Conduct functional testing and change management to ensure safe deliveries from Test to Acceptance and Production environments.
  • Offer functional incident management on a front office pricing application used within the Financial Markets domain worldwide.
  • Support end users in using the application and enrich back-end databases with new products, reports, and scheduled tasks.

Requirements

  • Education: Completed education at Bachelor/Master level.
  • Experience: 3+ years background in Financial Markets and/or Treasury.
  • Skills/knowledge:
    • Experience in Financial Markets and/or Treasury (interest rate and FX derivatives valuation, market risk modeling).
    • Familiarity with Market Data, Derived Market Data, and Credit products.
    • Experience in Risk Management is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Financial Markets regulation is a plus.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum.
    • Experience with stakeholder management.
    • Proven ability to define requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across different software development and business teams.
    • Experience with product and service management and processes.
  • Tech stack:
    • Proficient in creating and validating SQL queries (Oracle SQL) to support business analysis, data validation, and report generation.
    • Knowledge of CI/CD, Azure DevOps.
    • Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Confluence.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with stakeholder management in the Financial Markets domain.

The Mission

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services, and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Within FM, in Competitive Pricing area, we have ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) platform, which consists of multiple components that enable real-time and batch calculations of financial risk metrics and simulations (e.g. XVA, PFE, Value at Risk, Expected Shortfall, Bilateral Margining, pre-deal derivatives Pricing) which are driven by new banking regulations as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates, credits, foreign exchange). This platform is in the heart of the IT landscape for our global dealing rooms and risk managers in Asia, Europe, and Americas, with approx. 30 scrum teams spread across 4 locations (Amsterdam, Brussels, Bucharest, and Singapore), cooperating to evolve it towards target ING Financial Markets IT vision.

The Competitive Pricing Area, part of the FM> Tribe, seeks an enthusiastic Functional Operation Engineer, with a solid operations and techno-functional background in the Financial Markets domain.
