The Mission
Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Within FM, in Competitive Pricing area, we have ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) asset, which consists of multiple components that enable real-time and batch calculations of financial risk metrics and simulations (e.g. **XVA,**PFE, Value at Risk, Expected Shortfall, Bilateral Margining, pre-deal derivatives Pricing) which are driven by new banking regulations as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates, credits, foreign exchange). This asset is in the heart of the IT landscape for our global dealing rooms and risk managers in Asia, Europe and Americas, with aprox. 30 scrum teams spread across 4 locations (Amsterdam, Brussels, Bucharest and Singapore), cooperating to evolve it towards target ING Financial Markets IT vision.
IPA (Integrated Pricing Architecture) is ING's strategic in-house pricing platform, comprising multiple interconnected components that support pricing, risk management, and reporting activities across Financial Markets. In this role, the primary focus will be on two key components within the platform: SDM (Static Data Manager), responsible for the management and distribution of static data, and TradeStore, the centralized trade repository responsible for the ingestion, consolidation, and distribution of trade data. Together, these components provide critical data services that enable downstream pricing, risk, and analytics processes across the IPA ecosystem.
**IPA SDM **is one of the core IPA components responsible with the ingestion, transformation and distribution of static data (counterparties, bond statics, collateral agreements, credit support annexes, calendars, countries, mappings, etc.) to a series of other IPA components or pricing and risk engines, in order to be used together with the trade data and market data for pricing and risk calculations.
IPA TradeStore is one of the core IPA components responsible for the ingestion, consolidation, enrichment and distribution of trade data originating from a variety of Deal Capture systems used by the FO/Trading and FO/Sales divisions. The centralized trade repository serves as the golden source of trade information within FM Competitive Pricing, providing trade data to pricing and risk engines, as well as risk, analytics and reporting platforms, where it is combined with market and static data to support pricing, risk calculations and business intelligence processes.
